  • Group Guides – Lead groups of up to 10 elementary aged students on simple field studies in the park and assist them during a brief visit to the Discovery Rooms. (Training provided)
  • Material Prep Helpers – Assist Educators on staff by preparing craft and other materials used in classes and camps and for Nature Story Time.

Help guide our seasonal birding walks in Russ Pitman Park and assist Staff Naturalists with birding field trips during Spring and Fall Migrations.
Work with the Park Steward to complete clearly defined projects in the park, including mulching trails, planting native plants, removing invasive species, and more. (Training provided)
Help field phone calls and take messages and greet visitors. You can set your own two or three hour shift, mornings or afternoons, year–round or seasonally. (Training provided)
Aide our Media Coordinator in getting the word out about our programs and community events. Whether you would enjoy drafting press releases or PSAs, posting calendar listings on 3rd party websites, distributing flyers in the community, or serving as a photographer, we would love your help!
Help children and their families enjoy fun and educational activities, games, and crafts during our Spring Fling, Pumpkin Patch, and Summer Family Fun Nights.  2 – 3 hour shifts
Do you love to plan events; organize auctions; create centerpieces, invitations, or brochures; or round up volunteers? Then this is the place for you! Twilight Planning begins by early fall for our annual spring gala.

Training sessions are provided for individuals or groups of people interested in volunteer positions that require specialized instruction.
