Starla grew up in Central Texas and attended West Texas A&M University where she graduated in May 2023 with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology. Throughout her undergrad, she sought different internship opportunities in wildlife rehab, captive breeding, and recently conservation education. Starla always knew she wanted to work with animals but discovered she also had a love and passion for talking to people. Then she figured out she could do both for a living! She has traveled nationwide to gain knowledge about wildlife conservation and various ways to engage with the public ever since. She enjoys birds and will take any opportunity to talk about them. Speaking of birds, ask her about cranes!
