Aquita Lagrone is an experienced operations and executive support professional with a strong background in organization management, communication, and administrative leadership. Originally from Chicago and now based in Houston, she will bring a thoughtful and purpose-driven approach to her role at the Nature Discovery Center. Her academic foundation includes a Bachelor’s degree in English from Illinois State University and a Master’s degree in Communication from Purdue University.
With a deep commitment to education, Aquita is passionate about supporting the growth and development of children, both in structured environments and through experiential learning. She is particularly inspired by the role nature plays in child development and how outdoor learning can spark curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking. She believes in blending purpose, creativity, and nature to support growth-in school, work, and life.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Aquita enjoys creating handmade wreaths, decor, and candles, as wells as cooking, traveling, spending time with family, and all things Christmas! Whether she is leading a project or creating something by hand, she values intentionality, creativity, and connection.
