The Henshaw family installed the birdbath fountain (known as Rebecca Fountain) and built the small pond that visitors and park wildlife still enjoy today just south of the Henshaw House. Countless school children, NDC program participants, and park visitors have peered into the pond searching for fish and tadpoles. And some have been lucky enough to catch glimpses of visiting birds, bees, dragonflies, toads, squirrels and other wildlife enjoying the area as well.
