Mark your calendars and plan to join us for our annual Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival October 14 & 15, 2023. We’ll have plenty of pumpkins, fun festival games, crafts and activities, scrumptious foods, informal family photo ops, meet the animals, and more!
Outside exhibitors like Pet Supplies Plus (Braes Heights) and vendors like Paper Pie (formerly Usborne Books) and Lela & Hyde Candle Co. will also be on hand. New this year, and on Saturday only, Houston Axe Throwing will be out with a mobile axe throwing attraction on Evergreen Street and Saint Arnold Brewing Company will be out with a Beer Tent in the north parking lot!
Admission is FREE. Games and activities, concessions, pumpkins, etc. all have a cost. Pumpkin Passes (cards with mark off tickets) will be sold for cash or credit at ticket tents at the north and south ends of the park. They are good for games and activities and our own concession stands (popcorn, drinks, clementines, chips, etc.). The pumpkin sales tent and all outside food vendors will take cash or credit.
We’ll have tens of thousands of pounds of pumpkins this year, including heirloom varieties! But please note that we only sell pumpkins during our fall festival weekend, October 14 and 15.
Saturday Eclipse Viewing: The annular solar eclipse will be viewable from our front lawn at the north end of the park as well as from our Pocket Prairie mid-way through the park. Peak viewing will take place at 11:58 am when the eclipse reaches 89% over the Greater Houston Area. We will have eclipse viewing safety glasses available for sale at the NDC Concession Tent on the front lawn for $2 each while supplies last. Please plan to view the eclipse safely if you attend the festival on Saturday. Viewing an eclipse directly without eye protection can damage your eyes.
Food Trucks Saturday & Sunday: Ashy Legs BBQ, & Camila’s Sweets & Bites, Food Truck Saturday only: Mily’s On the Road Taqueria, Food Truck Sunday only: Moon Rooster
Additional Food Options: New Orleans Style Sno-Balls, Firehouse Pizza, special lemonades from Fresh’n Juicy (with Lemonade Day), plus popcorn, chips, Clementines, candy, water, juice, and soft drinks from our own ticket tent concessions.
Event Parking will be available on side streets in the neighborhood surrounding the park (see map here). Please be courteous to our neighbors and make sure that you allow plenty of space for them to come and go freely from their driveways.
Members of the public are invited to become Pumpkin Patch VIPs for $175 per family. As VIPs, you’ll be invited to a pre-festival private VIP Event pm Friday, October 13. You’ll have easier parking, get a professional family portrait from Meredith Symonds Photography, and get your choice of pumpkins before the crowd arrives for the weekend. This year’s VIP Event will also grant you access to a preview play of our popular Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival games. This limited-capacity event will also feature light bites, festive seasonal beverages from Fox & Seeker, an exclusive animal encounter, and a VIP only will call for pre-purchased Pumpkin Passes. Tickets for the VIP event are on sale HERE!
