Summer Science Camps

In fun-filled week-long camps with themes ranging from Tropical Rainforests to Demolition – Nature’s Way, campers work together and independently to solve problems, perform experiments, play games, create imaginative crafts, and more. Our camps are limited to 20 children each week, with 4 teen counselors assisting the Camp Instructor.  (Video 1:31)

Wildlife Family Level and above Member Discount $250/week or Nonmembers $320/week

Camp registrations will open Summer 2018.

Days & Times:  Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 3:30pm

Optional After Care until 5:30pm each day for an added fee of $60/week or $15/day.

Advanced registration is required.

2017 Dates and Topics

Tropical Rainforests
Jun 5-9 OR Jun 12-16
Adventure awaits as you explore the layers of the tropical rainforest! Learn about amazing plants and animals that live in these places of tropical paradise through fun games, crafts and other activities. We’ll find out what products we use that come from rainforests, including some foods we love to eat. Get a taste of the tropics with some rainforest treats!

Spiders and Other Arachnids
Jun 19-23 OR Jun 26-30
Are your spidey senses tingling? Get ready for a camp filled with games, crafts, and animal encounters with creepy crawlies of the Arachnid kind! Spiders, daddy-long-legs, mites, scorpions, and more make up the Arachnids. Are they all dangerous? Where do they live? What do they eat? Why are they so hairy? Come learn more about the features that make these organisms unique and interesting invertebrates.

Animals Around the World: Vertebrates
Jul 10-Jul 14 OR Jul 17-21
Come and explore the 5 groups of animals with backbones, spending each day of camp with a different group. Through art crafts, nature hikes, observation studies, and live animal lectures, teh kids will get to know: Fishes, Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds, and Mammals.

Demolition – Nature’s Way
Jul 24-Jul 28 OR Jul 31-Aug 4
It’s one thing to build and create things, but it takes a good bit of engineering to destroy things well. Explore how our natural world takes care of its destruction business and try your hand at wrecking, ruining, and breaking things down! Caution: explosions may be necessary.

Who’s Hungry? – What Animals Eat
Aug 7-11 OR Aug 14-18
Animals eat all kinds of things, in all kinds of places. Some of those foods, we’d gladly partake of, and others would gross us out! Join us for an exploration of animals and what they eat. Each day we’ll take a look at different foods animals choose and compare their preferences to ours.

What to Bring

Daily Kids bring lunches and water bottles.  We provide snacks.
