A message from our 2026 Twilight Gala Chairs Kim and Ken Jones:
“We are so excited to serve as this year’s Gala Chairs and to celebrate and support a place that is so near and dear to our hearts. At every stage of our children’s lives, the Nature Discovery Center has been a place of learning, play, connection, and peace for our entire family—kids and adults alike.
From family walks along the trails when our children were still babies in strollers, to watching them return year after year for the Center’s incredible camps and programs, the Nature Discovery Center—and the wonderful people who make it so special—has been a cherished constant in our family’s life. We are so honored to get to participate in this event to support a place that connects people not just to nature, but to each other in real and meaningful ways.”
As a fifth-generation Houstonian and longtime Bellaire resident, Ken has deep roots in the community he calls home. A local Realtor, business owner, and proud supporter of the Nature Discovery Center, he values the people, places, and organizations that make Bellaire such a special community to live and raise a family.
Kim is a Houston-based therapist, mom, and lifelong animal and nature lover. She has a special appreciation for the Nature Discovery Center as a place where her family has spent years exploring, learning, and connecting with the natural world. She loves supporting a place that protects a little bit of wildness in the heart of the city and inspires that same love of nature in the next generation.
